This type of skin has a matt, uneven texture and flakes easily. It lacks suppleness, often feels tight and forms wrinkles prematurely. This is caused by lack of sebum which otherwise keeps the surface cells moisturized. The surface of oily skin appears shiny and dull and generally had large pores. This is caused by excessive sebum which can prevent the shedding of dead skin cells, thus preventing the live ones from appearing. This often gives the skin an unhealthy appearance.
This type pf skin has a good balance of oil and moisture which keeps the skin soft and supple. It is not excessively dry and rarely develops spots or blemishes. Te pores are small and the texture is fine and even. Generally, this skin type is characterized by normal to dry skin over the cheeks and sides of the face with a greasier T-Zone (forehead, nose, and chin) as a larger quantity of sebum is produced in this area.
